Acceptable Use Policy
Effective date: July 8, 2026
This Acceptable Use Policy ("AUP") sets out the rules for using the Staje platform. It is incorporated into our Terms of Service. Violating this AUP may result in suspension or termination of your account.
1. Prohibited Content
You may not upload, share, or transmit content that:
- Is illegal under applicable local, national, or international law
- Contains child sexual abuse material (CSAM) or any sexual content involving minors
- Constitutes hate speech, meaning content that promotes violence or discrimination based on race, ethnicity, national origin, religion, gender, sexual orientation, disability, or other protected characteristics
- Is defamatory, fraudulent, or intentionally misleading
- Infringes any third-party copyright, trademark, patent, trade secret, or other intellectual property right without authorization
- Violates any person's right to privacy (e.g., posting private information about another person without consent)
- Promotes or glorifies violence, terrorism, or self-harm
2. Prohibited Conduct
You may not:
- Harass, bully, threaten, or stalk other users
- Impersonate any person or entity, or misrepresent your affiliation with any person or entity
- Use the Service to send unsolicited commercial messages (spam) to other users or external parties
- Attempt to gain unauthorized access to any part of the Service, other users' accounts, or Staje's systems
- Attempt to probe, scan, or test the vulnerability of any Staje system without explicit written permission
- Introduce viruses, malware, ransomware, or any other malicious code
- Use automated tools (bots, scrapers, crawlers) to access the Service without our prior written consent
- Circumvent, disable, or interfere with security features or access controls
- Engage in denial-of-service attacks or any action that disrupts the Service for others
- Create multiple accounts to circumvent plan limits, account suspensions, or bans
- Facilitate any of the above by third parties
3. Ticketing and Financial Conduct
Troupes that sell tickets or conduct fundraising on Staje agree to:
- Accurately represent their events and the goods or services they sell
- Honor stated refund policies
- Not use the payment features to conduct fraudulent transactions or money laundering
- Comply with all applicable laws governing ticket sales, fundraising, and charitable solicitation in their jurisdiction
- Comply with Stripe's Restricted Business List
4. Recordings and Media
By uploading recordings, you represent that:
- You have the right to record and upload the content (including any music, scripts, or choreography)
- You have obtained consent from all individuals who appear in the recording, and from guardians of any minors
- You will not upload recordings that contain nudity, explicit sexual content, or graphic violence
- You understand that recordings marked as Public are accessible to anyone on the internet
5. Marketplace
Marketplace listings must be for legitimate goods or services related to theater production. You may not list counterfeit goods, stolen property, hazardous materials, or items that are illegal to sell in your jurisdiction or the buyer's jurisdiction.
6. Enforcement
We reserve the right to investigate any violation of this AUP and take appropriate action, including removing content, suspending accounts, terminating access, and reporting to law enforcement authorities. We consider all relevant factors when deciding what action to take, including the severity of the violation, whether it is a first offense, and the user's cooperation.

7. Changes
We may update this AUP from time to time. Continued use of the Service after any update constitutes your acceptance of the revised AUP.
