Staje for Schools
Auditions, casting, rehearsal schedules, parent communication, line practice, and ticket sales: one place for the whole show. Built for the drama teacher who is also the director, the producer, and the box office.
Built for students
From auditions to bows
Staje follows a school show the way you actually run it. Every step feeds the next, so you never type the cast list twice.
Day one
Staje reads your licensed script and drafts the production for you: every character, voice part, song, and scene, plus a draft audition and rehearsal schedule built around your dates. Review it, adjust it, and publish it.
Auditions
Students sign up for audition slots online. Every judge scores and takes notes on their own device, and Staje compiles them into one casting report. Callbacks are a click away.
Casting
Keep the cast list private until you are ready, then publish it to the cast and the public at once. Students accept their roles in the app.
Rehearsals
The rehearsal calendar lives in every student’s phone and syncs to their calendar app. Reminders go out automatically, and you take attendance from your phone. Conflicts with school breaks and holidays are flagged before you publish.
Off book
Students pick their character and scene. Staje reads the other parts aloud and checks their lines word by word, so memorizing happens at home, not at rehearsal.
Opening night
Reserved or general seating, student and adult prices, comps for families, and QR check-in at the door. Ticket revenue goes straight to your program’s bank account.
Between rehearsals
Most of a show gets learned outside the rehearsal room. Staje gives students two ways to do that work at home, so rehearsal time goes to what only the room can do.
“Are you off book yet?” Now you’ll know. Students rehearse with an AI scene partner that reads the other parts in different voices, then listens and scores each line. Scene-by-scene scores show exactly where they stand.
How Run Lines works →Give notes on the video, not from memory. Film the run-through, then circle the blocking, tag the student, and drop a note at the exact moment, even from your phone. When students watch at home, the video stops at each note and shows your direction. Break a long run into scenes so they can go straight to theirs.

Questions
The Community plan is free and covers one production at a time, with auditions, scheduling, Run Lines, ticketing, and the mobile apps. If you run a fall play and a spring musical at the same time, Ensemble is $19/month. Ticket sales carry a small platform fee. See pricing.
Start with our student data privacy sheet. It answers what technology directors ask about COPPA, FERPA, AI, subprocessors, and deletion. If your district uses a data privacy agreement, email it to privacy@staje.app.
Yes. Students 13 and older sign themselves up. For students under 13, a parent or guardian creates the account from their own Staje account and stays linked to it. Under-13s get extra protections: for example, Run Lines never turns on the microphone for them.
No. Everything works in a web browser on a school Chromebook or a home computer. The iOS and Android apps add push notifications and practicing Run Lines on the go.
